About the role

  • To manage all areas of day-to-day Display campaign management from initial brief, implementational planning, negotiating and buying space, billing and financial management, to post campaign performance reviews on one of Mindshare's most prestigious Automotive client accounts
  • Understand how different digital channels perform together, with a working knowledge of PPC, SEO and Affiliate channels and understand the relationship between brand and acquisition elements of a client’s media activity
  • Confidence when talking about tracking and measurement of campaigns, proactively looking for solutions to deliver more robust reporting and add insight
  • Own the campaign data management for your team
  • Responsible for the provision of accurate and insightful data analysis to drive campaign effectiveness
  • Develop implementational media strategies in both Digital (and Print) media to meet our clients’ business objectives
  • Support the Business Director in the development of creative and innovative media solutions, building a clear understanding of how data, content & technology can work together, to achieve our ambition of inventing the future of media
  • Incorporate adaptive & inventive thinking
  • Oversee, contribute to and present implementational plans and campaign results, working closely with relevant depts
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the trading dynamics underpinning the Digital (and Print) markets, and how to maximise returns for your clients business, Mindshare & Group M trading deals
Client Management
  • Ensure all client requests are met or surpassed and manage client expectations effectively
  • Respond to all client briefs and requests in a timely, professional and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate an enterprising and pro-active attitude to all client dealings
  • Develop a strong relationship with the client team at a senior level
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client industry sector, the competitors within that sector and the general industry environment. Ensure that this knowledge is filtered down through your team
People Management
  • Ensure the effective management and participation in regular team status meetings – where relevant in your team
  • For any team member that you manage directly, complete a performance review in Mindshare 360
  • Identify any learning and development needs of the more junior members of your team
  • Effective performance management of team members and the active management of any conduct issues (e.g. attitude, timekeeping) or capability (under-performance) issues
  • Effectively manage & develop Account Executives and junior Account Managers
  • The focus of this role is on Digital. Print experience is not essential but as you will be aligned with the print team, you will be required to learn the print process
  • Be a positive influence on team morale
  • Work with the Business Director to manage workflow priorities within your team, ensuring that the right resource is deployed
  • Develop collaborative relationships with the other departments within Mindshare to deliver an integrated service to clients
  • Play an active role within the wider display team, taking on responsibility for driving knowledge in a specific area/field
  • Be fully aware of all deal parameters within both Mindshare and GroupM and their effect on planning/buying targets
  • Ensure that the correct deal pricing is used by all members of your team
  • Ensure that all digital campaigns are both fully optimised and reconciled. This includes optimisation to the best performing formats, audiences, verticals, days of week, time of day, creative, geolocation, viewability and brand safety aspects.
  • Develop strong relationships with relevant media owners at an appropriate level and be an effective ambassador for Mindshare
  • Develop relationship with necessary external agencies on relevant client businesses to ensure integrated approach (e.g. creative)
