The New Business and Marketing team sit at the core of WAVEMAKER. The team manages and executes the entire agency response for a pitch brief (whether this is a re-pitch for an existing client or a pitch for a potential new client.) They are also responsible for building WAVEMAKER’s industry leading reputation in the market place, liaising with key influencers such as journalists, intermediaries, media owners, clients, and prospective clients.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

We are constantly innovating and striving to do better work as a result, we are looking to grow the team with a WAVEMAKER Business Development Executive. Working at the heart of the agency you will help to ensure we always remain ahead of our competitors by providing vital support to the New Business team consisting of Managing Partner, Business Development Director, and Creative Manager.

You will be required to work with colleagues across the agency to gather client data, run new business reports, design, and document creation, while familiarising yourself with pitching and prospecting processes. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the biggest client pitches, giving you a real insight into how we help to grow both our clients’ businesses as well as our own. This is an exciting and unique role where your creative flare and business acumen will be equally valued. You would need to be competent in Adobe Creative Suite to help bring to life our business credentials across all relevant collateral.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide end to end pitch support through, prospecting, assisting in client contact pieces, idea generation, pitch theatre creation, document design and film / general production.
  • Support the logistical requirement for pitch teams; liaise with facilities, coordinate room bookings, catering arrangements, IT / AV logistics etc.
  • Responsible for WAVEMAKER UK and GroupM New Business reports as well as WAVEMAKER Global reporting requests.
  • Assist the team with adhoc admin requests as required including UK business spend reports, client research and supplier payments.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Self-starter: resourceful, enthusiastic, resilient, entrepreneurial and curious.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Innovative and creative with strong initiative.
  • Numerate, analytical, and comfortable with interpreting data.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate potential problems.
  • Highly organised.
  • Confident and comfortable working with all levels of the agency (from graduate to senior leadership/Exco).
  • Brilliant organisational skills, able to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Team player but equality able to show initiative to work autonomously.
  • Key interest in creativity and design.
  • Proficient in creating attractive PowerPoint presentations that adhere to the WAVEMAKER brand guidelines.
  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite.

DESIRED:

  • Operating camera equipment.
  • Proficient with Excel with good numeracy skills.
