Overview of job
We are looking for a Senior Planner Buyer to join the acquisition team on the NOW TV account. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner Buyer to work on growing part of the most high-profile account in the agency and arguably the UK.

You will be responsible for the planning and buying of all offline acquisition media and help the Associate Director in quarterly strategic planning and performance reviews. The role involves frequent client contact and close collaboration with other teams working on the account.

Measures of success –

In three months, you would have:

  • An overview of the planning and buying process
  • Created relationships with the key clients
  • Taken responsibility of weekly reporting

In six months, you would have:

  • A clear understanding and ownership of regular offline channels incl. finance responsibility
  • Responsibility of leading weekly client meetings
  • A role within quarterly strategy and planning

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Ownership of the whole planning and buying workflow
  • Part management responsibility of another team member
  • Active role in suggesting, planning and testing new channels

Responsibilities of the role:

The Senior Planner Buyer is a very important role within the acquisition team and responsible for the planning process across all offline media. You will need to adapt to the needs of multiple client stakeholders and have an eye for detail to meet the needs of analytical clients. As well as a creative approach to help inspire them to move out of their comfort zone and test new opportunities.

You will be helping the Associate Director in leading and managing media planning activities and key client relationships as well as co-ordinating between internal functions and teams to produce innovative and integrated marketing-driven media solutions that achieve client profitability targets.

What you will need:

  • At least two years experience as a Senior Planner Buyer or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of the planning and buying process of offline media in the UK
  • An eye for detail and an analytical mindset
  • A data driven approach and the ability to draw insights from analysis and develop that into new ideas
  • A strong DRTV background would be an advantage
  • To be confident and compelling in leading client meetings
  • To be enthusiastic and constantly willing to learn and develop
