Overview of job
We are looking for a Paid Social Planner, with proven experience across all social platforms to work in The Entertainment Division. As well as planning, buying and implementing social campaigns, you will also ensure that campaigns run smoothly, are updated and optimised, and handle regular campaign reporting for clients.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Digital Manager and Digital Associate Director

Measures of success –

In three months, you would have:

  • Managing all clients’ paid social activity; media planning and buying, implementation and reporting
  • Servicing and responding to designated clients’ daily requirements

In six months, you would have:

  • Become an integral part of not only your immediate team, but the whole department in terms of Paid Social expertise
  • Presenting platform developments/reports/media plans directly to clients

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Independently develop Paid Social strategies for designated clients, specific to their business needs
  • Fully understand the role social plays in the overall client business and what your role can do to help maximise the effectiveness

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Plan, buy, manage and report on all social campaigns across the clients
  • Have prior experience of the social platforms
  • Have a wider knowledge of the social media landscape
  • Have experience in social planning and targeting opportunities
  • Be the main client contact for social requests
  • Regularly monitor campaigns, pacing, and make informed recommendations on optimisations
  • Produce regular reporting
  • Keep the social tracker for each client up to date
  • Be confident in presenting reports and learnings to clients
  • Have existing relationships with key media owners across the social platforms
  • Be capable of managing budgets confidently across the platforms
  • Being competent on all self-serve platforms
  • Be a self-starter, don’t be afraid to challenge the client or ask them a question
  • Be extremely organised
  • Have the ability to multi-task
  • Prioritise workload, making sure the most urgent things are completed first
  • Be reactive, and able to accommodate last minute client requests
  • Regularly update the team on platform news, new tools etc.
  • Keep the team status sheet updated, have a top line knowledge of all campaigns the team is working on and be able to answer if someone has a question
  • What you will need:
  • Experience in the entertainment sector would be beneficial, but is not essential. A successful candidate would need to have, or develop, a good understanding of the clients business’s and competitive set.
  • The successful candidate must have previous paid social experience from a media agency or social agency, and will have some experience in digital media buying. Digital activity is the core focus of this role but an understanding of non-digital channels, would be beneficial.
  • A confident candidate, who is happy to work independently as well as part of a team.
