Objectives of the Role: 

Technology is becoming increasingly important in the planning, execution and optimisation of digital media. This role has been created to increase the capacity of an already established and growing team tasked with looking after technology and its implementation in advertising.

The Ad Ops and Tech Executive will report to the Head of Ad Ops & Tech and is in training to ensure efficient implementation of digital display campaigns into 3rd party ad-server and learn about other associated tracking technologies in the execution of digital advertising (i.e. web analytics, behavioural targeting and other optimisation technologies).

They will be taught both how to setup campaigns within a 3rd party ad-server for a range of different clients of various sizes as well as receive comprehensive training allowing them to add technical expertise to campaigns to troubleshoot issues, quickly and without errors.

The position demands a motivated individual who can deliver high level service and answer queries from our clients and partners. A good team work ethic is important, as are time management skills, and the ability to multitask and ensure work is delivered accurately and within the required timeframe

An element of this job involves working collaboratively with the internal stakeholders (both in UK and globally) as well as key media partners in ensuring that the whole delivery of a campaign is successfully launched – so strong communication skills are also key!

Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability: 

Strategic Skills

  • Responsible for implementation, trafficking and maintenance of campaigns within 3rd party ad-server/systems and creative and campaign testing
  • Provide technical support to the account and client teams with regards to troubleshooting any issues as required as well as support to local teams in other markets to ensure standardised global set-up
  • Manage the implementation and management of any other 3rd party tracking tools for campaign optimisation and reporting as well as project managing the implementation of tracking tags on to sites with dev teams
  • Provide support for teams that are pulling reports as required from the ad-server and aid with analysing the results of campaign to assist in campaign performance optimisation
  • Educate and up skill markets to ensure they are able to implement tech and structures adhering to global guidelines
Operating and Technical Requirements
  • Actively manage own performance in line with key tasks and objectives
  • Work closely with the account team members to solve media problems and assist with identifying new opportunities for campaigns
  • Assist in the creation of campaign performance KPI reporting
  • Demonstrate confidence and clarity in communicating with the team, local markets, clients and media owners
  • Develop understanding and strong working relationships with other MediaCom departments/services
  • Have an understanding of the role of tracking technologies and how it underpins Digital operations
  • Identify new initiatives and opportunities to improve work processes
  • Keep abreast of any developments in the digital market and new technologies – seek ways to continually improve and optimise current processes by recommending appropriate technical solutions


Client Account Management

Client Management

  • Understand client account servicing and best practices in managing results to meet client KPI’s
  • Efficiently follow-up on any technical-related queries and troubleshoot any issues that arise in a professional manner
  • Take commercial responsibility for campaign budgetary management including bookings and billing


Customer Satisfaction

  • Participate on all client calls/meetings as required in a professional manner
  • Contribute towards the development of customer SLA’s, service reviews, customer feedback and customer service initiatives

People Management

  • Share knowledge with others across the wider Ad Ops & Tech team (and account team) to enhance collective service delivery and client knowledge
  • Build effective business relationships with stakeholders through managing expectations, clear communication and consistent performance
  • Ensure your weekly time sheets, holiday/sickness forms, CPD Logs and training plans are kept up to date
  • Learn from the seniors in your digital team in order to understand how the team and processes are handled
  • Effectively communicate and handle requests/questions of a technical nature coming from the other local MediaCom offices around the world
  • Take your career management seriously, preparing for performance reviews and attending training planned for you, including lunchtime workshops and department sessions
  • Continue on the job training and workshops and internal/external training sessions being proactive in your continual self-learning
