Media Planning Manager - Coca-Cola

Media Planning London, England

Position at Mediacom

Overview of job

We are looking for a manager to work on the Coca-Cola account here at MediaCom. Coca-Cola is an FMCG business with a difference. Whilst they, like any FMCG business, have a very keen eye on sales and commercial success, they are also passionate about creative thinking and creating the new and the different so they require in us a balance of rigour and attention to detail, along with the ability to add the sparkle that consumers expect from this iconic brand. It is therefore a great opportunity for candidates to build their planning experience on a fast paced, high demand account, whilst being involved in some exciting and ground-breaking and award winning campaigns. Coca Cola is a key account for the agency and with it comes a lot of senior contact and support and the opportunity to raise your profile quickly internally.

3 best things about the job:
1. Working on the most sought after client in the industry
2. Working on award winning campaigns and ideas
3. Exposure to very senior people in the Coke, and MediaCom business

Measures of success –
In three months, you would have:
• Got up to speed with the account and be adding value on day to day running of campaigns
• Met with and started creating relationships with brand managers
• Integrated into MediaCom team (Planning and Implementational Planning team)
• Helping manage others in the team e.g Execs

In six months, you would have:
• Started inputting into campaign strategies and overseeing their implementation to fruition
• Leading campaigns with AD assistance where needed
• Leading day to day requests and admin tasks (e.g. reporting etc)
• Help develop others in the team (e.g. Execs)
• Presenting to senior clients where relevant

In 12 months, you would have:
• Fed into annual brand plan strategies and implementation
• Pro-actively feed into team learning and knowledge

Responsibilities of the role:
We are looking for a proactive, bright and friendly member of the team to help us continue to produce leading work for Coca-Cola (think Share A Coke, Christmas campaigns, working with influencers around Euros). The role will be looking after campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. These are flagship brands across the whole industry and well as within the agency; so there is a need to produce both innovative and strategic comms plans, but also ensure that given the size of the brands the day to day detail is buttoned down and accurate. The role will be working directly into the Associate Director, within a team of 8 working on The Coca-Cola Company account. We work closely with the brand managers and client team, and so excellent client handling skills and confidence presenting are also necessary.

What you will need:
• 4+ years of strategic planning experience
• Whilst having a keen strategic mind, a good base understanding of media implementation
• Excellent client handling skills
• Confidence to present to senior clients
• Good management and prioritisation skills
• Bright and fun personality that wants to get involved with the social side of the team

*Although we cannot make guarantees, we welcome conversations about flexible working for all roles at MediaCom London*
