This local team within our London office, will have the exciting challenge of reinvigorating the Vauxhall brand for the UK market (the only global location where the Opel name is not carried) in 2018 and beyond.  Plus we aim to be benchmark for the rest of Europe for effective communications solutions that grow the client’s business.

You will foster and  facilitate effective communications solutions to grow your client’s business, and drive overall account revenue and business performance.

You’ll have proven strategy skills within the automotive category and have the gravitas and confidence to lead the delivery of transformational connected communication strategies and solutions.

You will understand and contribute to wider client business strategy, leading agency teams to deliver integrated multi-channel solutions that achieve overall client objectives and business KPI’s.

Measures of success –

In three months, you would have:

  • Worked out how to operate with key internal departments that allows you to develop strong work for the client
  • A solid grasp of the clients’ target audiences and products

In six months, you would have:

  • Developed solid relationships with your key clients with you becoming a key ‘go to’ person
  • Developed a good relationship with your AD and Planner that you manage so that the brand planning team operates efficiently (a productive rate) and effectively (a good product and service level to the client)
  • Developed good relationships with integrated agency teams whom we work collaboratively with

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Helped the AD enter an award in one of the various marketing communications awards that exist
  • Be able to suggest ways to the AD on how we can operate better / improve our planning output to the client

Responsibilities of the role:


The ability to delegate, up and downwards, to coordinate between groups and departments

Be resilient and advisory – support and guide an ambitious and direct client whom expects good service to be a trusted strategic partner

Provide regular feedback (both positive and negative) to the team on a regular basis.  Plus ensure that planners who report into you have clear goals.


Development of a comms approach and being instrumental in creating and evolving high quality channel implementation plans, through rigorous and inspired systems thinking planning

Whilst this is a Brand Planning role you need to have a handle on what this is contributing to the client’s business

Be keen to embrace and become expert at new, data and evidence-led planning approach


Liaise and work closely with channel specialist, strategists, and analytics teams to ensure the full media response, as well as collaboratively with integrated agency partners
