About the role:
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Programmatic Services Team here at GroupM as a Commercial Director. The Programmatic Services team (PST) is one of the core units in GroupM with a primary focus on the Digital space. Teams within this department drive strategies, technology innovation, efficiency and new revenue across the digital environment working closely with the different Agency teams. The core aim is to allow agencies to have their individual USPs whilst using the size and buying power of the combined group to drive more cost effective and better managed deals.

The Commercial Director will play an essential role in the team and will oversee all commercial activities of the PST, implementing strategies to drive revenue, maximise opportunities for profit generation and ultimately business growth. The individual will lead all engagement and commercial relationships between this team, the agencies and their clients, managing key relationships across GroupM, the agencies, and 3rd party suppliers, using resources from all three to achieve goals when needed.

The role will therefore be a very public-facing one within the agencies so requires energy and enthusiasm, as well as natural diplomacy and interpersonal skills, to bring about large-scale change that the disclosed PST model entails.

 

What we’re looking for:
Ideally you’ll have previous commercial experience in a similar position with a strong knowledge of the programmatic technology and data landscape. You will be a natural leader with the ability to influence at a senior level. Fluency in describing technical solutions is a must, along with knowledge on complexity and fragmentation of RTB supply landscape and challenges with brand safety.
