About Business Science

• Business Science is MediaCom’s specialist marketing analytics team. We’re the biggest analytics team in any agency and are currently a team of 45+ over 4 offices in the UK – this would be joining our biggest team in our office in Holborn.

The role

Graduate Econometricians are key members of the Business Science team, helping with quantitative analysis to understand and measure the effect of marketing on sales. They will have significant responsibility across all aspects of client projects.

The role of Graduate Econometrician involves:
• Working on projects using quantitative analysis to measure the effect that marketing activity has on sales
• Significant responsibility working across all aspects of a given project
• Working closely with clients and various account groups within the agency

In three months, you would have:
Helped process data using a range of processes, namely Excel and R
Built/updated econometric models for key business metrics

In six months, you would have:
Inputted into client presentations
Learnt how to process and manage large data sets (using R)

In twelve months, you would have:
Taken responsibility for data collection for key clients
Presented sections of the analysis to key stakeholders

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Academic experience of time series econometrics would be desirable
• High numeracy with the ability to convert analysis into real world actionable solutions
• The right candidate would have an inquisitive mind, is enthusiastic and eager to learn and happy to ask questions
• Experience with problem solving through data
• Keen to make a difference for our clients 
• Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Ambitious, determined and self-motivated
• Keen interest in media and marketing
• Knowledge of common econometrics programs, R or other coding programs and SPSS would be desirable
