Overview of job
The Content & Outreach Project Manager (PM) will plan, direct and manage the performance of all content and outreach operations, to maintain and develop business growth in accordance with the overall strategy of the SEO and Distribution Team.

The Content & Outreach PM will be responsible for overseeing the administrative, resource and project management of the Content & Outreach team of content specialists sat within the wider SEO & Distribution team.

They are responsible for ensuring organisational effectiveness by managing and organising the team's output. They are required to work with departments across MediaCom and other agencies, and contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies and procedures as well as manage the effective execution of Content & Outreach projects.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Director of SEO and SEO Associate Director.

Measures of success –
In three months, you would have:

  • Built strong relationships with your clients and peers, leading day to day communications
  • Demonstrated confidence feeding into your projects’ content & SEO strategies


In six months, you would have:

  • Strengthened your skills as a content professional, ensuring SEO campaigns are delivered to the highest standards with clear and measurable objectives
  • Become the trusted “go-to” person for the clients and internal teams with regards to SEO


In 12 months, you would have:

  • Developed your knowledge and experience working with Media Planning, understanding how SEO works as part of a wider Media strategy and feeding into briefs



Responsibilities of the role:

  • Working with Heads of Department (HoDs), and SEO/Content & Outreach Managers in the definition of project scopes and objectives, developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress


  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors ensuring all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, allocated hours, and budget


  • Researching and building relationships with specialist content suppliers who can help deliver our KPIs for campaigns


  • Steers the performance management process that measures and evaluates the project/teams progress against goals


  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks and report and escalate to management as needed


  • First port of call for all internal Content & Outreach requests, ensuring every project brief is clear, commercially viable, and internal/external deadlines and expectations are managed in relation to the workload and business objectives of the SEO and Distribution team


  • Responsible for managing all finance and administration within the Content and Outreach team, including and not limited to: supplier set-up, budget tracking, finance bookings, supplier management etc


  • Work with the wider Mediacom teams to ensure our approach is integrated


  • Be a vocal advocate for Social Media and SEO with internal stakeholders



What you will need:
Role specific:

  • SEO, content, outreach, and link building background/management with an exceptional understanding of innovative content marketing, audience research, social, SEO and PR strategies
  • Project management experience of medium-large SEO EMEA-based projects. Further International experience is beneficial
  • Demonstrable success in managing projects under pressure
  • Experience managing team workloads and resource forecasting and allocation
  • Ability to identify out-of-scope opportunities and raise to the appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Proven client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Project Management qualifications desirable (PRINCE II, Agile etc)
  • A diplomatic, collaborative, and positive approach to working life
