Job Description

You will work with the Finance department; We are a small, evolving team, supporting a rapidly growing agency by educating the wider company on finance best practice, and group policies and procedures. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate and the role would be split 80% work, 20% studying for your qualification of Level 3 Assistant Accountant.

Role and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Management of house payables ledger, posting of invoices and account reconciliation
• Preparation and uploading of journals
• Liaise with other group companies to agree debtor and creditor balances
• Payment of inter-company schedules for the management accounts
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, posting of bank transactions, cashflow reporting and management
• Submission of schedules on Cartesis (WPP consolidation tool)
• Management and review of the Work in Progress ledger
• Assist with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Management of employee expenses ledger, including weekly payment runs
• Assist the Billing & Credit Control Manager with media billing
• Assist the Finance team with ad hoc requests, as necessary

Desired qualifications

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade C or above including English and Maths
