Overview

The Offline Media Planner is responsible for the planning process across all offline media. 

You will need to adapt to the needs of multiple client stakeholders and have an eye for detail to meet the needs of analytical clients. As well as a creative approach to help inspire them to move out of their comfort zone and test new opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have at least two years’ experience in a similar role (previous experience in media agencies) and in-depth understanding of the planning and buying process of offline media.

A natural predilection for numbers, great curiosity and ability to get involved will complete the profile.

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with the team on day-to-day account management, ensuring tasks are completed on time;
  • Finalizes plans and projects on behalf of clients;
  • Assists and oversees all media administrative tasks including campaign setup, maintenance and issues accurate client financial reports with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Reserves the broadcast space or time after the campaign plan has been agreed with the client;
  • Monitors the effectiveness of the campaign, constantly and permanently adjusting it to provide the best results;
  • Establishes and maintains contacts with media owners and sales/traffic teams from suppliers, ensuring that statistics, circulations, rate cards and viewing figures are up to date;
  • Takes into account in planning the appropriate moments of media activities, seasonality and other variables specifically based on usage patterns;
  • Corrects and checks the content of plans and orders before launching the campaign;
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of the campaign;
  • Negotiate and obtain the best prices that match the agreed media strategy;
  • Tactical buying for each campaign;
  • Make monthly and quarterly post-acquisition plans and reports;
  • Tracks special projects;
  • Enter the monthly plans in EasyMedia;
  • Presents alternative options to the Account Manager and the client;
  • Provides the data for the audit and evaluation reports required by the network, client, account or other stakeholders in the respective formats.

 

About you

The ideal candidate has an eye for detail and an analytical mindset, a data driven approach and the ability to draw insights from analysis and develop that into new ideas. Confident and compelling in leading client meetings. Enthusiastic and constantly willing to learn and develop.

Education, skills and behaviours

  • Native Romanian;
  • 2+ years of experience on a similar role;
  • Ideally educated in a business, numerical or analytical degree e.g. economics, mathematics, statistics or engineering;
  • Numerate and analytical;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (written & spoken)PC literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
  • Demonstrable strong planning skills;
  • Experience in implementation planning;
  • Good analytical skills to identify consumer journey planning;
  • Good target orientation e.g. very results driven, ability to work effectively to targets.
