The successful candidate will work as a senior member of the Wavemaker Programmatic team leading the day to day direction and management of the client’s programmatic activation in-house. The role will include integrated strategic planning, campaign development, negotiation as well as overseeing the project management of the day to day delivery of complex programmatic campaigns. You will build strong relationships with your clients at the highest level and act as a trusted advisor to them and their other agencies to maximise the activation opportunities.  You will take a senior role in the team with responsibility for team learning and development, leading by example and sharing knowledge to support junior team members.

  1. Client Servicing:
  • Build strong, effective relationships and a close rapport with clients at the most senior level engendering a relationship of trusted advisor.
  • Seeking and developing new programmatic solutions for clients both proactively and in answer to briefs
  • Conveying a professional manner in all client communication with timely and accurate responses
  • Confidence in managing clients autonomously
  1. Strategy & Planning:
  • Working alongside the WM Journey Designers & TAPP team you will be responsible for driving best practice, ensuring the Wavemaker strategic process is followed and understood.
  • Based on your knowledge of the strategic process you will understand the role of programmatic and planning within Wavemaker and which people to engage to support client responses
  • You will have a detailed understanding of wider services including: DCO, Attribution & Consultancy
  • Ability to question, challenge and recommended next steps to WM Journey Design and Delivery on any client brief
  • You will own team processes and work closely with the Head of Programmatic Activation adding client knowledge and feedback along the entire process
  • As part of the brief response team, you will be responsible for helping generate creative ideas
  • Based on the brief / strategy developed you will ensure contact with media owners / rights holders to collect the information is in a manner befitting WM as well as required to sell in the idea
  1. Campaign Management & Performance:
  • Lead programmatic team on best practice to ensure that set-up and performance of campaigns is of the highest standard
  • Ensure all team members are following all relevant processes across, brief response, billing, auditing, SLAs, pacing documentation and optimisation updates
  • Ensure all team members are working in an integrated and joined up fashion on large scale campaigns
  • Help with campaign allocation within the team to maintain effective delivery and service
  • Lead on timely delivery of day to day process
  • Act as an escalation point for Managers / Execs to handle areas of conflict with partners
  • Take responsibility for and approval of, final campaign PCA to go to client
  • Ensure all campaigns are managed and delivered with original strategic concept / idea in mind
  1. Team Management
  • You will manage and line report over junior members of the team, prioritising their workload and facilitating their development
  • Developing effective relationships with senior internal colleagues to ensure campaigns are used effectively within the overarching client plans
  • Quality control the output of your Programmatic Managers on a week by week basis
  • Understand team utilization and plan team workloads and resource flexibly to meet workload challenges
  1. Innovation & Collaboration
  • You will need to have an excellent working knowledge of the industry its tools and systems and must ensure that your team understand them correctly to offer suggestions to continually improve our work
  • Work with specialist leads and media owners to identify new products and features our clients should be testing and using and presenting these to the Head of Programmatic Activation
  • Ensure strong working relationships with different stakeholder teams across the business
  • Work with your specialists and specialist leads to produce case studies each quarter which will be shared with clients, WM and may be published within trade press.
  • Develop strong relationships with relevant media owners & partners
  • Regularly review progress with innovation and collaboration with stakeholders
  1. Technical Skills
  • Confidence in core trading platforms – not exclusively DBM, TTD, MediaMath, Oath
  • Confidence in adserving technologies with experience in troubleshooting tags and on-site pixel implementation
