The performance team in MEC GS are the fastest growing department in the company. We are the central global hub for all of Wavemaker, and as such work with a diverse range of clients and on an ever expanding portfolio. The performance team are about innovation, whether this comes in the form of digital process automation or even the creation of new products for the global Wavemaker network, we pride ourselves on being innovative problem solvers.

The performance team plan, and activate campaigns across most digital channels, with teams activating Programmatic display, SEM, Social and E-commerce campaigns, and we encourage new starters to embrace the wider digital opportunities that are offered in a role at Wavemaker in the performance team.

Objectives of the Role:
The successful candidate will be the lead on ensuring the biddable account performance delivers against clients’ targets. Their responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and optimising paid search and paid social campaigns
  • Working closely with key stakeholders on weekly updates, reporting and analytics and building strong working relationships
  • Ensuring that all biddable channels are delivering against their KPIs
  • Ensuring that all finances are in order and that media is booked correctly
  • Proactively taking part in helping to evolve how we work in the department: Account management, reporting, implementation and optimisation.
  • Keeping abreast of trends and thought leadership in paid search and other biddable platforms.
  • Working closely with your manager and Wavemaker account teams to cross-sell and up-sell Search services.

Skills required for this role

  • Knowledge of PPC or Paid Social with 1 year experience within an Agency is preferable.
  • Excellent understanding of search techniques (research, optimisation and evaluation).
  • Experience in activating biddable social media.
  • Experience with PPC Bid management tools and other biddable platforms.
  • Knowledge of site analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SEO is advantageous.
  • Fundamental understanding of the workings of other performance/direct response channels such as Affiliates and Display would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of key trends in client and Search market media dynamics.
  • A second European language is advantageous.
