The Team and Role Functions

The Operations department in the Xaxis UK consists of two types of functions of which Operations Executives support both

  • Campaign Management - Ad Operations and Optimisation functions

Task ownership includes creative management, campaign setup, site tracking, campaign delivery, pacing, performance and margin.

  • Insights and Analytics teams - Reporting functions

Task ownership includes campaign reporting and analysis for the internal Xaxis team as well as the agencies and advertisers.


Operations Executive Role Summary

An Operations Executive is expected to support both the campaign management and analytical functions within the Xaxis UK Operations team. They need to proactively own campaign setup, creative management, tracking, delivery monitoring and reporting across all channels and delivery systems.

Campaign management responsibilities focus on flawless setup, preparation of campaigns and enabling of reporting. Setup responsibilities include pre campaign launch tasks like tagging of the advertisers site for onsite attribution, creative management (adding third party tracking and verification) and uploading, interpreting campaign briefs to create programmatic campaign structures within the buying platforms (DSPs) usually from templates but sometimes as custom builds, then finally checking campaign are live and delivering according to the insertion orders instructions and team best practices.

You will be expected to support both the campaign and analytics manager to identify optimisation opportunities both proactively and in response to requests to optimise inbound from the commercial teams.

The Operations Executive will support Xaxis’ Commercial and Operations teams by working with them closely to provide scheduled and adhoc mid campaign data extracts from the operational reporting (sometimes custom) as well as assisting with monthly and QBR reporting projects across the business. In particular the focus here will be aiding specific analysis regarding performance versus goals, other partners and overall campaign averages.

In addition, scope exists within this role to become rapidly involved in the heavier bespoke insight analytics work as the demand requires. Potential projects which are in pipeline include testing and evaluation of attribution methodologies, probabilistic and deterministic audience modelling. This therefore represents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to be able to gain commercial experience with a world-class data business, by working on insight analytics for delivery to clients.

The Operations Executive reports to a Senior Campaign Managers and will ultimately be measured on his or her ability to setup campaigns and deliver campaign reporting in accordance with briefs, plans, KPIs and guidance from campaign and analytics managers.  

The Operations Executive is a role in the Xaxis business that has been identified as being an absolutely crucial component in driving business success, therefore Xaxis is looking for truly exceptional candidates. As such Xaxis is looking for highly talented graduates, ideally with a degree in a numerical subject and some existing knowledge of digital advertising, especially programmatic. A little bit more on what you will be expected to do within the role;


1)      Operational reporting delivery – Development of audience delivery/performance reports, which will be operationalised to become consistently available to the Account and optimisation team, objective being to primarily inform optimisations decisions to drive performance.

2)      Audience Insight and reporting – Working with the Commercial team to define a framework for the delivery of high value, in-depth audience centric analytics and reporting to internal business users and eventually external customers. Part of this will be to ensure that prior to the campaign all tracking and assets are in place as required by the briefing, then monitoring throughout the campaign that data is being collected.





  • A degree in a STEM would be strongly preferable
  • At least 1 year of experience in AppNexus (Buyside) and/or Google DBM
  • Further qualifications in Google Ad Words and Google Garage
  • Previous understanding and experience of Advertising software and coding language, including a working knowledge of AI technologies
  • A love of data, technology and analytics
  • Have a numerical and analytical problem solving mind
