About the role:

Our people are passionate about communications.  If you love to push boundaries, you’ll feel right at home.  We are seeking a global editorial director to join our growing global marketing and global growth (new business) teams.  Reporting to our global growth officer, you’ll be accountable for improving our stories and setting the standard on all Wavemaker external collateral and publications.  This role can also be based from either our New York or London office.  The role focuses on two core areas of responsibility:

  1. Writing and editing thought leadership and other content marketing (e.g. executive blogs and PR content) for the promotion of Wavemaker.
  2. Writing and editing a broad range of business development content ranging from technical RFI/RFP responses, to engaging prospecting materials, case studies and best practice plus working with various pitch teams to help craft winning stories for major local and multi-market pitches. An important skill is to make the complex simple and jargon free.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a talented professional editor/writer with a flair for storytelling and creative writing.   You’ll be a strategic thinker with commercial experience of creating engaging content for a global brand/technology/marketing/publication business or in-house team.

We are looking for a self-motivated, smart thinker who is passionate about communication, with a background in content writing or business marketing. You’ll need to be fluent in all modern B2B communication forms, so not just long copy.  You should be comfortable in shifting between the formality RFI responses to memorable ‘points of view’ copy.  We’re seeking someone who will understand the power of words and the dynamics involved in communicating across all channels and to all audiences.  You’ll thrive in creating engaging copy for digital advertising, thought leadership pieces/research, reports and RFIs from the world’s leading advertisers. Attention to detail and the ability to deliver work to a high quality is expected as standard.
