MediaCom S&E is the specialist division of MediaCom Worldwide providing fullservice sponsorship and rights consultancy.


MediaCom S &E’s offering is built on 4 key pillars:

MediaCom Sport work closely with each department but are closely aligned with MediaCom’s content division, MediaCom Beyond Advertising.


The Role Objective


  • Provide sponsorship expertise to Mediacom’s UK and International clients
  • To develop new business and profitable income streams from delivering strategic consultancy, sponsorship negotiation, activationand sponsorship measurement/evaluation services
  • Sell, develop and create strategic frameworks using, MediaCom S&E’s proprietary evaluation tools, Connected Sponsorship™, to relevantMediaCom clients
  • Rights management across selected MediaCom S&E clients (current opportunities include a global Olympic brand and a UK client who is a sponsorship leader across cycling)
  • To maximise the sport and entertainment sponsorship capabilities on offer to MediaCom clients, whilst also responding to client briefs
  • Support client sponsorship initiatives
  • Positioning Mediacom Sport & Entertainment capabilities within new business pitches, planning activities, and client proposals
  • Working closely with Mediacom’s other specialists division, especially Mediacom Beyond Advertising



Role Responsibilities


  • Focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities  
  • Management of selected retained accounts in the MediaCom S&Eclient portfolio
  • Deliver strong client leadership to all allocated client accounts
  • Leadership and development of best in class innovative campaign planning and delivery
  • Thorough organisational and reporting mind-set
  • Work with an integrated approach across the agency
  • Drive organic growth where possible on all retained accounts
  • Securing solid client and agency relationships
  • Work with the MediaCom S&E London team to grow existing clients through new revenue streams
  • Involvement in pitches and new business activities
  • Thoroughly understand the fundamentals of the client’s business and able to offer best advice to clients
  • Manage and influence senior-level client contacts and maintain positive working relationships
  • Hero agency processes with regards to the running of client accounts


Business and personal development


  • Build close relationships with each of the departments and personnel within the agency, starting with other Managers and Associate Directors
  • Have a clear understanding of the various specialist divisions and how they can fit into your day to day role
  • Become a go to person for Sport & Entertainment related questions
  • Take ownership of selected client teams and become the point person during; planning phase, briefing, ideation & delivery of work
  • Work with Heads of Disciplines to integrate sponsorship into the agencies thinking
  • Build on commercial acumen with rights holders and media owners
  • Develop a greater understanding of sponsorship measurement and the Connected Sponsorship tools
