LBG comprises some of the leading high street banking brands including Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows. As part of the Planning team you will have the opportunity to work on briefs across the full portfolio of brands.


Previous B2B experience would be ideal – FS experience is welcome but not necessary.  We’re looking for confident, engaged Planners who are looking for a big challenge and excited to work in a different way within a highly skilled and integrated team



Key requirements

Planning and experience

  • Passion for Planning and proven experience building strong comms platforms and ideas in response to client briefs
  • Very strong working knowledge of the full media landscape and ability to build and understand a media plan independently
  • Strong Digital planning skills and market knowledge including a working knowledge of programmatic principles – need to demonstrate planning abilities with Digital as a key role of an idea or approach, especially embracing Digital innovation
  • Experience of building close and constructive working relationships with clients 
  • Ability to work closely with specialist divisions (Insight, Strategy, Activation) to clearly translate a central comms platform or idea into a meaningful media plan
  • Owning a brief or project yourself and seeing it through to completion (supported by senior team members)
  • Experience working on both brand and conversion led campaign would be an advantage


  • Confidence in assessing someone else’s work or delivery
  • Ability to lead junior members of the team, delegating effectively to ensure high quality and consistent work is delivered on time
  • Taking an active role in training and developing team members

Core Skills

  • Excellent written and presentation skills to ensure the team deliver high quality work that can be easily communicated to our client
  • Strong numerical skills and close attention to detail when preparing plans, data and presentations
  • Ability to work with Excel to at least an intermediate level
  • A strong understanding of media tools and techniques, communication channels, acquisition media planning and reporting processes, media buying/negotiation within guidelines
  • Strong analytical skills – evaluation of key trends in response data, market and media dynamics
  • An excellent understanding of the financial billing process e.g. Using DDS, Metis
  • Understand response planning metrics - response rates, cost per response, conversion rates, cost per acquisition, return on investment
  • Work flow management/time management, prioritisation of tasks within a team
  • A good knowledge of major industry research sources
