This is an opportunity to lead the PR & Outreach department within WM Content. In this role your aim will be to deliver best in class campaigns while working closely with SEO, Social and Content teams. You will be responsible for all processes, motivating a passionate team, maintaining strong client relationships and providing new business growth.

PR & Outreach Strategy & Activation
  • Develop and implement strategies required to secure high-quality content placements from top publishers
  • Maintain a large database of contacts using relationship management to build close working ties with key influencers
  • Collaborate with content strategists to ensure all content created is fit for PR & Outreach campaigns
  • Research content ideas and participate in creative brainstorming sessions
  • Ensure content produced has strong enough mechanisms for target influencers

Leadership

  • Take ownership and responsibility for all Digital PR and Outreach campaigns delivering against tight deadlines
  • Lead a talented team to ensure client objectives are met to the possible highest standards
  • Mentoring and training the team to develop and improve their PR & Outreach skills
  • Inspire direct reports to reach objectives and unlock their full potential 
Client Servicing

  • Lead the development and implementation of PR & outreach strategies to deliver against client goals and objectives
  • Articulate the performance and impact of Digital PR & Outreach campaigns to senior stakeholders
  • Inspire clients to remove any barriers and limitations likely to affect performance
  • Establish close working relationships with client teams & third parties to coordinate calendars and activity
  • Work with our clients to highlight new opportunities and be reactive to wider media 
New Business & Growth

  • Support the new business team to drive revenue growth through PR, Outreach and Influencer activity
  • Highlight opportunities to upsell and unlock new opportunities with the existing clients
  • Champion the department internally and externally through thought-leadership and highlighting positive results 
Required Experience

  • A passion for PR & Outreach and a proven track-record in delivering coverage for large brands
  • Entrepreneurial and pro-active attitude with the determination to deliver work to the highest standards
  • Obsessive tracking of the latest industry trends to spot new opportunities for the department
  • The confidence to throw out the rule book and develop new and unique strategies
  • Knowledge of PR tools such as Gorkana, Pitchbox, Buzzstream, Google Analytics, Cision
  • Experience in using Gorkana, Buzzstream or a bespoke solution to track progress
  • Experience in a PR & Outreach position, ideally from an agency environment
  • A grammar perfectionist with a keen eye for detail
