At GroupM and our media agencies, Maxus, MEC, MediaCom, Mindshare, Xaxis and m/six we actively welcome different backgrounds, different experiences and different ways of thinking so that we can produce the best media/advertising campaigns for our clients.

You don't need a university degree to start your career with us. Anyone with keen interest in media and advertising with a bright, inquisitive, passionate and creative way of thinking are welcome. All we want to see is that you have a great mind with a real commitment being a great GroupM citizen. 

We have plenty of opportunities for you if you haven't gone to university. All our agencies run industry leading Apprenticeship Programmes, and most of our graduate programmes and other roles are open to school leavers too.

What roles could you be doing?

You don't need any previous work experience to join one of our entry level roles. The skills you have gained during your school years and your hunger for success are more important to us.

Excel and a good understanding of numbers will always be highly valued as data and analytics play an important role in the day to day work in a media agency. Data is a way of life for us. It informs our campaigns, provides insight, alerts us to trends, and helps us to optimise advertising campaigns.

What training will I receive?

All of our agencies offer structured training and development plans for all employees tailored to your role and your learning requirements to help you grow and progress in your role and beyond. Alongside work related training you often have the opportunity to learn something for your personal development whether that is to learn a language, a specific skills or something fun.

GroupM University offers a range of courses and gives you the chance to learn more about various areas of media. The University has brilliant links companies like Facebook, Yahoo, Google and Thinkbox who frequently run workshops with us!

We also offer buddy systems as well as coaching and mentor programmes.
