Job Overview

[m]Platform is looking for a VP Client Development, EMEA to lead [m]Platform client relations with GroupM agencies & clients. This person will be the primary, strategic client facing person for [m]Platform EMEA.

This is a customer-facing position that requires a strategic mind, exceptional relationship management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. Tenacity, drive, market knowledge and respect are all key to driving overall EMEA uptake. This person is critical to building the [m]Platform business so must have excellent ability to build agency and client relationships, in a consultative way.

  1. Working closely with senior agency client leaders, MD’s & CEO’s to create the correct [m]Platform positioning and strategic solutions during new business and retention pitches
  2. Getting into detail around audience lead solutions using [m]Platform data and tech solutions for GroupM clients
  3. Working closely with agency client leaders and programmatic leaders and internal [m]Platform teams to devise and offer the best programmatic, search and social execution services to clients. This can involve working extensively with EMEA local markets

Responsibilities of the role:

  • To be the primary strategic client facing person for [m]Platform Group Companies in EMEA
  • To work closely with senior agency client leaders, MD’s and CEO’s to ensure [m]Platform, Light Reaction and Plista are positioned and communicated correctly during new business pitches
  • To work closely with clients themselves to strategically expand their use of programmatic through [m]Platform companies.
  • To work closely with [m]Platform Group company leaders in EMEA markets to drive excellence in client development, strategic proposals so as to present [m]Platform capabilities and new [m]Platform products to the best potential.

Required Experience:

  • Strong digital media experience
  • Proven digital media strategic sales experience or agency client leadership
  • Sales success with clients and agencies
  • Experience of senior/strategic level interaction with customers
  • Articulate & strong communicator
  • Presentation skills
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in maintaining client relationships and overcoming issues and objections to achieve core business objectives
  • Logical reasoning skills and comfort with numbers
  • Experience of multiple industry categories and understanding of what drives their online advertising success
  • Understanding of online media market and its dynamics

  • Trading Desk client relationship / DSP sales experience
