Reporting of the role

In the short term you will report of the COO. Following their appointment, you will report to the Chief Digital and Data Officer.

Overview of job

You will play a pivotal role in assisting the CDDO in Leading MediaCom UK's digital and data community driving integration through the agency, ensuring a solid tech and  data infrastructure and leading the digital transition of traditional media.

The role is a combination of strategy and execution ensuring our clients business objectives are met.    You will be an external client facing thought leader, challenging our clients to move their business forward. You will also have an internal focus ensuring our digital products are best in class and fit for purpose. You will also focus on client development and product integration.

Key responsbilities

To ensure MediaCom are competitive and leading the market in terms of digital capabilities, reputation, and delivery. 


Working with the digital leads and planning teams to identify a clear digital roadmap for each client and what digital products will help solve their business problem, including but not exclusively how we utilise GroupM products [m]Platform/Xaxis/finecast/

You will play a key function in new business pitches.


You will develop a deep knowledge of our clients and the wider industry to proactively identify issues and opportunities of strategic value.


You will be the development focal point for all digital delivery and tech/systems requirement, working with relevant “heads of”


You will be the digital lead for large clients, or the co-ordination of leads where necessary.


You will drive a culture of collaboration with all department heads to support/ensure each digital specialism is best in class to ensure we are delivering brilliant work across all disciplines in a cohesive way.


You will be the senior escalation point to trouble shoot problem clients - to quickly get to the issue from a non-siloed or judgmental position and develop a cohesive action plan with the account director and Department Heads to deliver the solution

Measures of success

In three months, you would have:

·          Create a clear understanding within MCUK of the product suite available and how each can benefit clients

·          Developed digital transformation programs for 2 clients

In six months, you would have:

·          Conducted a full capability assessment of all our senior digital talent

·          Raised the knowledge base in MCUK on digital products GM and beyond.  How and why they should be used

·          Implemented a digital transformation programme

To jointly lead the digital specialists within the agency to deliver best in class digital product

What you will need:

·          Strong relationships with Digital suppliers

·          A good understanding of Ad tech

·          A proven history of working across multiple digital disciplines and a strong knowledge base of all digital specialisms

·          A strong foundation in media planning principles and an understanding of the role all media can plan play in a clients ecosystem

·          Proven client handing skills

·          The ability to adapt
