You will be a YouTube specialist within Wavemaker – planning, buying and optimisation. Search Experience is essential (AdWords) & basic understanding of programmatic landscape, internally you will be the go to person for all online video questions (AV Department/ wider agency).

Client Management

  • Develop strong relationship with all client teams across the agency.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the client’s industry sector, their competitors and the general industry environment.
  • Presenting to clients on a regular basis with PCAs, updates and overviews of video marketplace.

Internal Responsibilities

  • YouTube specialist within the AV team – full understanding of AdWords and running of multiple accounts within Wavemaker (Planning, Buying & Optimising). This would include producing reports & standard PCA’s.
  • Full responsibility for YouTube spend within the agency – 23 clients.
  • Assist the wider AV team with digital expertise, supporting the department throughout the online video buying process.
  • Audit Management.
  • Ability to interpret campaign objectives to feed back to planning teams on YouTube best practice.
  • Keep up to date with the issues facing the industry and offer a viewpoint in how this will affect AV.
  • Liaising with the digital display activation team on video budgets to ensure the correct team is planning video budgets.
  • Responsible for growing awareness of online video opportunities and set up of campaign approved and tags plus tracking delivery of approved video activity.
  • Forecasting & reconciling.
  • Report into the Head of AV Video at Wavemaker.

External Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with relevant media owners – especially Google.
  • Act as an ambassador for Wavemaker in all dealings, demonstrating company values at all times.

Skills & Experience


  • Fully competent in AdWords (planning, buying and optimising)
  • Good understanding and experience of online video marketplace
  • Strong understanding of all 3rd party tagging / measurement companies (Doubleclick, Integral, Double Verify)
  • Strong optimisation and analytical skills
  • Experience in platform based buying


  • Accurate and timely production of work.
  • Exceptional organisational, time keeping, time management, prioritisation, analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and on systems including DDS and METIS.
  • Strong knowledge of MX STATS & Deal Manager
  • Excellent written, oral presentation and analytics skills. Ability to prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations.

  • Ability to develop core working relationships with clients, saleshouses and internal teams.
  • Demonstration of good team working skills.
