About the Senior Operations Manager – Finecast

The Addressable TV media marketplace is a new, complex and fast moving space.  To ensure that the GroupM Addressable TV Division is well placed to take advantage of the opportunities, we must ensure that right systems and processes are in place. 

The Senior Operations Manager will be expected to work with stakeholder in the business, as well as external suppliers and technology providers, to build out a cohesive strategy and roadmap for the platform. 

This role is required to support the product and platform developments that will enable GroupM to build a best in class set of features and functionality, which supports the requirements and expectations of the advertisers and clients, whilst delivering against the aggressive growth targets.  The decisions made around the platform must reflect the short terms needs to grow, as well as the longer terms aspirations of achieving a solid base on which to build. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Product Development

  • Help maintain a pipeline of product enhancements, liaising with the relevant teams around resourcing and availability
  • Work with internal stakeholders within GroupM and external service & systems providers to ensure an optimal level of systems support
  • Liaise with account management to understand the requirements of their clients and support them in meetings
  • Represent the requirements and needs of the Addressable TV Division in project meetings
  • Build out valid business cases to justify investment
  • Support in the management and delivery of platform projects
  • Liaison with external technical suppliers to identify and explore new opportunities
  • Working with other key stakeholders across GroupM and WPP to help align the proposition


  • Build out and maintain the revenue and pipeline reporting capabilities
  • Ensure the production of accurate, usable and timely campaign reporting
  • Support the capabilities for attribution modelling, measurement and research
  • Build out and maintain inventory and margin reporting
  • Use data and insights to drive yield optimisation and maximise revenue and margin


  • Monitor and assess the available targeting options for accuracy and validity
  • Support the sourcing of new data sets to fulfil the requirements of the clients
  • Support the defining and targeting of data driven campaigns, deals and segments for the clients


  • Optimise the campaign management workflow to drive operational efficiencies
  • Manage and enhance the pricing strategy to ensure a valid, consistent and justifiable price
  • Support on-boarding of new technology providers
  • Support the media acquisition and retention strategy


  • Help define the roles and responsibilities across the team
  • Maintain expertise in video based advertising technologies and other relevant industry trends
  • Support in the formulation and review of contractual terms with suppliers and clients

About You

  • Good technical understanding of advertising technology, including, but not limited to; ad serving, DSPs, data management platforms (DMP), device IDs and cookies, attributions modelling
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape around the use of data
  • Prior knowledge of database management and administration
  • Technical understanding of how data is stored and transferred
  • Knowledge of media trading, preferably video and TV
  • Experience in dealing with contracts construction and negotiation
  • Understanding of marketing strategies

  • Extremely well organised
  • Comfortable with client facing interactions
  • Good internal networking skills
  • Computer literate
  • Extremely numerate, with exceptional excel capabilities
  • Proficient in VBA and SQL
