The Xaxis Global Client Strategy Team are based in New York and London and have a truly worldwide remit when it comes to managing our top clients. Our core mission is to develop deep and collaborative relationships with our key global clients and their agencies, enabling us to maintain and grow revenue across all markets. The Xaxis EMEA Team are based in London and provide strategic support to the region, including regional client and agency support.


The Global Client Strategy team currently consists of a VP, a Senior Engagement Manager and a Client Services Director, although the team is expanding to accommodate our growing global client base and engagement with local Xaxis teams.


The EMEA Client Engagement Director will report to the VP, Global Client Strategy and will also have a dotted line reporting into the CEO, EMEA. They will assist in equal measure to lead 3 key business functions:

  • To manage and develop our top 20 Global Accounts based in EMEA
  • To support emerging Global Accounts based in EMEA
  • To support new business pitches for new EMEA based clients

The EMEA Client Engagement Director will be the face of Xaxis to many senior agency partners and clients. Their tenacity, drive, market knowledge and respect are key to driving continued support of the platform by agencies and clients alike. They will also need to establish themselves as a trusted contact for internal teams at Xaxis at a regional and local level. They are critical to building the Xaxis business, so must form relationships quickly and leverage these to ensure investment increases over time.


Consequently the EMEA Client Engagement Director is a senior role that requires a well tenured and very experienced candidate. In particular Xaxis will be looking for evidence of engagement and proven sales success with digital agencies and clients at the most senior levels. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to be involved at a deep and strategic level within the Xaxis business and to engage directly with some of the most well respected agency and client contacts in the industry.


  • Work with GroupM EMEA Agency Contacts to engage closely on our Top 20 Global Accounts and ensure that the Xaxis relationship, revenue and performance is above expectation in all markets
  • Support the EMEA CEO and VP, Global Client Strategy in all efforts to grow revenue from our Top 20 Global Accounts
  • Educate GroupM agencies on the Xaxis proposition and products
  • Support GroupM agencies in global new business pitches
  • Create compelling proposals and collateral to support EMEA client initiatives and meetings
  • Lead client meetings and present the Xaxis story
  • Work closely with local and regional Xaxis teams to share information and strategy
  • Identify emerging Global Account opportunities that may arise from local markets


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Significant digital media experience
  • Proven digital campaign planning credentials
  • Agency OR digital media sales background to include experience of senior/strategic level interaction with customers
  • Articulate and a strong communicator
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Excels in creating compelling strategic proposals
  • Highest level of organization and ability to multi-task several projects at once
  • Experience in delivering against revenue targets and managing a P&L
  • Experience in maintaining senior client relationships and overcoming issues and objections to achieve core business objectives
  • Solid understanding of international clients and agencies
  • Knowledge of the international digital media industry, dynamics and competition
  • Proven independence and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Fluent in 2 or more languages; including French, German, Italian or Spanish
  • Trading Desk / DSP / Technology experience
  • Agency Client Leadership experience
