About the role:

 

Wavemaker’s Modelling Solutions team sits within Wavemaker’s effectiveness consultancy which leverages data and advanced analytics to help drive effective planning decisions across our client’s marketing mix.
The Modelling Solutions team’s two main analytical tools are Econometrics, which focuses on understanding the drivers of a client’s sales and Vitality IQ, which focuses on understanding the drivers of a client’s brand health.
These 2 products allow us to provide recommendations that drive tangible business improvements to our clients.
Wavemaker Modelling Solutions works with a broad range of clients of different scales and industry sectors including Nationwide, Morrisons, Merlin, and a number of government departments. Additionally, Wavemaker Modelling Solutions looks after a number of other analytics solutions including TV attribution modelling and digital data modelling to provide more granular insights to drive media optimization as well as how sustainability and DE&I can form part of a marketing effectiveness framework.

 

We are looking for a Modelling Solutions Executive to help support our growing team of experienced econometricians deliver bespoke modelling projects for a range of clients.
The executive will be involved in all phases of the projects from initial sign off through to production of the model outputs.
You will also provide ongoing support to a wide variety of people in the Wavemaker client teams, working collaboratively to ensure the learnings from modelling projects are consistently applied to media planning decisions.

 

We’re going through a period of rapid and exciting growth and are looking for someone to help us continue our winning pitch streak and share our ‘positive provocation’ story with our clients, our prospects, our people and the industry at large.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Manage the creation of econometrics datasets. Working with the effectiveness team, Wavemaker client team, and client, you will identify and source all key data inputs to include in the modelling data set.
  • Own the data master for econometrics projects and conduct thorough checks on all data to be included with each analysis.
  • Seek out ways to improve the data collection process, the 3rd party data ingested, and work with teams to identify the best way to automate or improve data ingestion techniques.
  • Support the Modelling Solutions Manager in building robust models that are both statistically strong but also represent an accurate estimation of consumer behaviour.
  • Compile all model results, charts, and summaries in a consistent and clearly structured report, including full evaluation of media performance and any other important factors.
  • Build and update econometric forecasting tools & optimisation tools using the modelling outputs.
  • Feed modelling outputs into relevant benchmarking databases for cross-brand trend analysis.
