EssenceMediaCom is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for Director - Media Buying to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of work on prestigious brands across categories for EssenceMediaCom. Understanding in Offline Media Planning & Buying Pre-dominantly Television with Print & Radio (Knowledge of Digital Media would be an added advantage) is a must.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to the GM- Investments west

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
  • Negotiate best in class media rates and placements for our clients
  • Work closely with the GroupM trading community 
  • Manage teams and interna & external stake holders 
  • Drive post buy, CPRP reports and quarterly reviews
In six months:
  • Compliance against internal / External Audit
  • Accountable for internal and client reports
  • Ensure tracking of deals as per audit norms
  • Help team with market intelligence & structured data which help in structuring better deals.
In 12 months:
  • Complete knowledge of your clients’ benchmarks
  • Completely hands on with negotiation strategy, deliver internal targets, client KPIs etc.
  • Ability to run the show all by yourself with guidance / direction from leadership team
  • Enhanced internal and external relationships and score well in delighting clients

Minimum qualifications:
  • 8+ years years of experience in media buying/planning.
  • Client Management experience
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands-on and a team player.
