GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Finance team.  
 
Reporting of the role
This role reports to: Commercial Manager. 
 
The position
  • Act as key Commercial contact of Business Team Heads
  • Management reporting and analysis (e.g.) CP%, time sheet analysis
  • Manage Budget and Forecast process
  • Month end Revenue and costs review and accrual
  • Gather supporting documents for SOX compliance (Business)
  • Conduct performance/revenue/cost analysis, compile related reports for management’s review, and provide recommendations based on major findings of analysis
  • Develop, along with senior team members to develop project artifacts and track project progress and provide updates to the business. Report business concerns to senior team members
  • Business analysis planning and monitoring to determine which activities are necessary in order to identify and define relevant stakeholders, select appropriate techniques and processes to manage requirements and constant assessment of progress
 
Responsibilities:
Reporting:
  • strong analytical mind and can identify problems for mgt discussion
  • follow through the action points and monitor the progress
  • ensure timely report prepared in an efficient and effective manner
  • understand well on the information require by user (i.e.) Mgt and BDs etc and properly communicate with relevant parties
  • able to analysis handle full set of financial data including balance sheet items
Process and controls review:
  • familiarize with internal controls and SOX requirements
  • capable to review and enhance workflow and procedures aiming to improve efficiency
Operation support
  • strong sense in both business and financial risks and able to take prompt measures in minimizing risks
  • experience in handling legal document review and tax issues
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
 
Requirements:
  • Diploma holder or above, preferably in Business/Commerce/Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 3-year relevant experience
  • Candidate with experience in Marketing Communication/Media/eCommerce industry would be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge in legal and contracts
  • experience in working on or leading projects
  • problem solver with energetic and dynamic
  • well organized and detail minded
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, multi-tasking skills and networking capabilities
  • A good team player, pro-active, aggressive and result oriented
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Candidate with more experience will be consider as Senior Commercial Analyst
