The Role

Our Business Analytics team, currently standing at 10, is responsible for providing the business with the analytics to inform key management decisions. Data is at the heart of G-Research and we see the ability to embed data analytics into the fabric of daily management as a core driver of competitive advantage for the firm. The Business Analytics team operates a world-class information platform using Tableau, Alteryx and other tools to create a suite of dynamic and highly available reports used by its internal clients, from individual teams to senior management. These reports draw on a wide variety of data, including qualitative, structured, and Big Dataplatforms.

The team is looking for an exceptional Senior Business Analyst to join them in providing analytical expertise to senior stakeholders. Using your technical skills you will develop a range of high quality visual reports and transmit their key messages to the wider business through presentations and informal training sessions. You will be engaging with executive level management on a day to day basis, presenting data from across the business that will be used to drive fundamental business decisions.

The Individual

This is a multi-faceted role which requires a careful blend of technical and interpersonal skills. You should have a deep understanding of the power of data to transform business outcomes and be passionate about delivering insight which drives improvements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience and the following technical skills:
  • Advanced analytical capability, using Tableau and other tools (e.g. R, Alteryx, Excel)
  • Familiarity with a variety of database technologies (SQL, Hadoop, Splunk)
  • Advanced PowerPoint
  • Strong academic record (min 2:1 degree) in a quantitative field
