The company is seeking an experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer
for the Engineering teamThis team is responsible for the storage and virtualisation platforms (both scale out), the grid compute system used for research, as well as Exchange, multiple Active Directory domains and a number of third party products for Source Control and File Replication. At the time of writing the environment (for which responsible) consists of ~2500 Windows machines (50% virtualized) and >15PB of SAN\NAS storage.

The role is principally project based and covers managing and upgrading the current infrastructure as well as researching and implementing new technologies in line with key business objectives.

The role requires an experienced Windows engineer with extensive experience of the core set of Microsoft Server products including Active Directory, File Services, Clustering and Exchange. Strong PowerShell scripting skills are absolutely essential as is experience with VMWare.

Finally, first-hand experience of On-Premise Cloud solutions and IaaS\PaaS would be highly beneficial.
