Quantitative Operations Analyst

Quantitative Research London, United Kingdom

Description

You will join a unique team that blends exceptional mathematical abilities with excellent software engineering skills. The Quantitative Operations team uses cutting-edge technology to discover new opportunities to improve performance; either by finding and fixing internal inefficiencies or taking advantage of marketplace changes.

As a Quantitative Operations Analyst you will spend time analysing data to spot undesired market behaviour, suggesting and implementing sensible changes to real-time platforms, and providing feedback to our Quant and Engineering teams. On the research side, you will be responsible for investigating discrepancies between simulation and production, checking performance of newly deployed ideas and continuing to develop targeted metrics to apply across all research strategies. You will also be involved in a non-reactive aspect which would look at analysing any structural opportunities available externally (exchange membership, additional venues, ordertypes etc.).

Who are we looking for?

An interest in and understanding of financial markets is a must, as well as a minimum 2.1 degree in a technical discipline. You will also be comfortable working with OO or functional programming and have experience in statistical analysis of large data sets.

To help us deliver our ambitious growth plans you will be proactive, have an innovative mind-set and be happy to continuously challenge, make recommendations and resolve problems to help improve our efficiency.
