Job Summary

The person reports directly to the Director, Aviation Quality with responsibility for day-to-day Supplier Quality Management System implementation supporting Amsterdam (Netherlands), Toulouse (France) and Hamburg (Germany) operations.  The qualified candidate will also ensure the ongoing execution of the Quality Management System of Gogo (recurring AS9100 certification), lead improvement initiatives within manufacturing, supply chain, and support companywide quality initiatives. 

Job Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management
    • Implement a Supplier Quality Management program for Gogo
    • Improve and implement supplier evaluation and selection processes
    • Communication
      • Devise a Supplier Quality Management Communication Plan
      • Establish a supplier quality performance monitoring plan
    • Review Gogo supplier quality goals and objectives
    • Monitor supplier quality performance (scorecards)
    • Develop a supplier quality system audit program
    • Ensure products conform to drawing, specification, and quality standards
    • Ensure regulatory conformance of delivered products
    • Develop a Supplier Corrective and Preventive action program 
AS9100 Quality Management System Recurring Certification
  • Required Manuals: Quality, Repair Station
  • Support the implementation of required process documents
  • Work instructions
  • Forms
    • Ensure documentation of required processes
    • Implement the Gogo Quality Management system
    • Maintain Quality records
Internal Audit Program Conduct audits/assessments
    • Ensure corrective action follow through
    • Develop and execute Audit Plan/Schedule
    • Ensure QMS & regulatory compliance
    • Conduct Quality system training
    • EASA 21 and EASA 145 Implementation and Certificate Management
    • Support regulatory audits
    • Develop and Maintain Part 21 and 145 Quality Manuals and Ops Spec
    • Develop and Maintain Capabilities List and Training Program
    • Product conformities as needed
    • Create and analyze key quality performance indictors
    • Distribute reports to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality leadership
    • Conduct quarterly Quality management review meetings
Support Companywide Quality Initiatives
    • Execute Quality Management System
    • Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives

Required Education and Experience

The qualified candidate will have a four-year bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of five years of experience working in the Aviation/Aerospace business, preferably Avionics.  A master’s degree is preferred.  The candidate should be able to work in a team environment with members of organizations ranging from engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and Airline Technical Operations – Installation & Maintenance.  Communication skills, both oral and written, must be excellent.  The qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and/or certifications in the following areas:

-          FAA Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), EASA 21 and EASA 145  Regulations, including MAG Change 6 implementation

-          Supplier Quality Management

-          Quality Management System implementation - AS9100

-          EASA B1 & B2 rating desired

-          Continuous improvement, 6 Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing practices

-              The qualified candidate will be customer focused.
