Senior Business Intelligence Developer
Senior Business Intelligence Developer – Design, develop, and maintain tabular and reporting that convey key metrics to Gogo’s airline partners. Author SQL queries against multiple RDBMS platforms, such as, SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle. Author queries against Amazon Redshift or Postgres. Perform dimensional modeling and data warehousing. Utilize data analytical skills. Write SQL queries. Collect and document business requirements, meet with business users, and provide them with consultation on optimal reporting solutions. Utilize the software development process and practices with an emphasis on Agile. Create reporting content in multiple Business Intelligence tools - primarily Tableau and Power BI with some work in Business Objects and SSRS. Report creation in emerging BI application technologies, such as, Amazon Quicksight and/or ELK. Design and implement reporting that leverages advanced visualization techniques (Scatter Plots, Histograms, Heat Maps, Tree Maps, Box-and-Whisker Plots, etc.) to best convey key metrics. Proactively identify data/reporting quality issues and work with peers in the Data Warehouse group and/or source systems to resolve them quickly. Interact heavily with ETL developers and data modelers to convey ETL and data model requirements required to produce an optimal reporting solution. Participate in an off hours on call rotation required to ensure the timely and accurate production of key reporting. Author complex SQL queries required to merge disparate sets of data.
Requirements: Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or Computer Information Systems and five years’ experience in position offered or five years’ experience software development with an object-oriented BI tool.
