As a Network Operations Intern, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports Gogo products and services. We ensure that Gogo network is reliable and performs at its best.

Depending on your skills and experience, you will have the opportunity to work with:

  • VM and physical hardware
  • Linux OS
  • MySQL client
  • Cloud computing


How will you make a difference and learn?

  • Help setup and maintain VM for various projects.
  • Assist in maintaining OpenStack environment in the Cloud
  • Assist in building FBO site
  • Help our team with scripting and cron setup in Linux environment
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues
  • Setup test bed for Customers
  • Process data and create reports

Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. JUNIOR or SENIOR.
  • You must be enrolled in an accredited school. 
  • This is a paid summer internship that requires an average availability of 40 hour per week from May-August

 Desired Skills, Academic Experience and Talents

  • Basic network knowledge in TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, ICMP,
  • Experience analyzing packets in Wireshark
  • Good knowledge of VPN, firewall
  • Knowledge of how to get around in Linux
  • Basic scripting knowledge
  • Some exposure to VMware and ESXi hosts
  • Desire to learn about Cloud computing
  • Curiosity about troubleshooting issues
  • Desire to learn about Voip especially SIP
  • Desire to learn about docker container

This paid internship requires an average availability of 40 hours per week during the summer of 2018 in Gogo's main office located in Broomfield, CO.  Interns are full-fledged members of the team —engaged from day one through structured training, mentorship, a diverse set of experiences, a network of peers across the company, and leadership opportunities.
