The Product Manager, Airline Configuration serves as a primary business contact for the on-going support of products and services developed and / or configured for Gogo’s airline partners.  Principal role will be responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, configuration oversight and on-going support of products and services within the Passenger Experience and Interactive Services portfolio delivered to Gogo’s airline partners.

The Product Manager, Airline Configuration will be the go-to expert for any client queries and will work diligently to resolve customer issues/inquiries on a daily basis based on sound judgement. The Product Manager, Airline Configuration will oversee all aspects of managing airline partner requests to ensure alignment with Gogo’s product roadmaps. The Product Manager, Airline Configuration will drive coordination between Product Line Managers, Program Managers and Account Managers to ensure synchronization as it relates to understanding airline partner requirements and Gogo’s ability to fulfill such requirements.

A Product Manager, Airline Configurations must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures for delivering software within the IFEC field, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A Product Manager, Airline Configurations must possess business acumen as well as engineering wherewithal in order to be able to drive continuity between Gogo’s product strategy, Gogo’s technical implementation and an airline’s desire to deliver unique products / services to its passengers.  Working extensively with customers and cross functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Program Management and when applicable, third party providers to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that our customers need is a daily ritual.

As an internal advocate for the customer, identifying, documenting and socializing product requirements for individual airlines, the appropriate candidate has an ability to retain ownership and effectively manage throughout the entire product lifecycle for services targeted to market.  She/he is expected to collaborate with other internal stakeholders to meet agreed upon deadlines for the implementation of services, and prioritizes them based on time-to-market and resource availability.

Job Description 

  • Have a full understanding of the passenger experience and interactive services product portfolio 

  • Coordinate the aggregation of requirements across products within the portfolio for each airline software release
  • Is responsible for ensuring the production quality of all releases being fielded meet customer requirements / expectations
  • Maintain and audit all necessary records supporting airline specific commitments including statements of work, business requirement documents and other related documentation
  • Prepare monthly reports to supply to content providers regarding usage
  • Monitor software deliverable / release schedule to provide visibility to airline and applicable internal stakeholders (product management) and notifies appropriate personnel of possible impacts(s) or change(s)
  • Hosts and support SME’s product review calls/training with customers
  • Coordinate with both internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure proper milestones and development are aligned for customer specific deliverables
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Consumer Facing Software Product Management experience
  • Familiarity with Internet-enabled entertainment 
  • Meticulous, detailed oriented with strong organization skills 
  • Proficient, working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management Software
