Position at Gogo Commercial Aviation

Key Responsibilities:

-  Support Gogo Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Legal and other groups’ activity to accomplish linefit offerability on Gogo’s first Boeing production airframe, in the shortest possible time.

-  Drive the Boeing TPM to accomplish linefit offerability on all Boeing modification airframes, in the priority sequence required by Gogo commercial teams.

-  Establish relations with the Boeing post-delivery modification/retrofit services teams to exploit post-production modification of target airframes via Service Bulletin, where advantageous to Gogo business objectives.

-  Be the champion of Boeing relations within Gogo.  Ensure the Boeing culture, business motivation, requirements and processes are understood by relevant groups in Gogo.

- Support the portfolio team to for proposal responses for any RFI/RFP, and technical requests once selected into the technology review efforts. Support customer facing meetings as required to ensure confidence in Gogo to the customers.

-  Work in concert with other Boeing liaison counterpart(s).

 Qualifications / Skills :

 

This position requires a demonstrable understanding of aeronautical engineering, OEM business process, and post-delivery modification teams.  Beyond technical competence in these areas, the individual must have/be :

  • BS or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline (preferred engineering).
  • 10 plus years’ experience with a relevant employer, ideally working on linefit projects.  E.g. with a OEM or vendor in the In Flight Entertainment, inflight connectivity or other linefit systems space.
  • Proven ability to manage a strategic relationship with a large multi-functional and matrix organized team.
  • Demonstrated past experience working as a liaison between Aerospace suppliers and the OEM
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively establish, execute and report on projects.  Able to handle multiple programs in parallel.
  • Understanding of the process to establish a business as an approved OEM supplier.
  • Have driven the establishment of a new supplier supporting an OEM at global locations.
  • Self-starter; able to work effectively without constant supervision & remotely from the corporation.
  • Seasoned professional; able to interact with people at all levels of the partner organization and inside Gogo.
  • Excellent communicator; via presentation, speech and writing with a clear understanding of the Boeing legal contracts and NOE effort.
  • Familiarity with relevant Quality standards and aircraft manufacturing processes.
  • Contract management and negotiation experience would be an asset.
Ability to travel internationally approximately 20%- 40% of a year
