Position at Gogo Commercial Aviation

The Demand Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive demand forecast for inflight WiFi connectivity across Gogo’s entire network.  This rolling, dynamic forecast will be disseminated to several workgroups within Gogo that will key off the output to drive their own specific work processes around network capacity as it pertains to data consumption and planning.  Additionally, this analyst will work closely with pricing analysts to measure the impact of pricing and product initiatives in order to optimize revenue and data consumption.  In order to be productive, this person needs to have the ability to consult, research, data mine, analyze and communicate findings to the Director of Revenue Management and other stakeholders throughout the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Demand planning: Develop a data consumption forecast by market and product type for existing and prospective airline partners based on historical performance metrics and seasonality.  
  • Internal Demand Forecast Communication: Package forecast, analysis, and strategies into professional documents that effectively share conclusions to all interested stakeholders. 
  • Product and Pricing Analysis: Collect and analyze data associated with all WiFi connectivity and entertainment products and report performance, on both routine and ad-hoc occurrences, giving insight to product utility and contribution towards strategic goals.
  • Trend Analysis: Utilizes appropriate analytical methods and approaches to update performance metrics and forecast performance based on observations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in analytics and/or database marketing is required. 
  • Experience in building large, complex data files and working closely with Enterprise Data Warehouse analysts. 
  • Familiarity in programming analytical tools (SQL, SAS, Tableau, advanced Excel, Access) to efficiently and effectively extract, transform and summarize data with minimal supervision;
  • Bachelor degree in Business / Marketing, Statistics, Economics/Econometrics or other quantitative discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and commitments so that projects are completed in a timely manner and organizational responsibilities are completed.
