The Gogo Business Aviation OEM Sales Manager has the primary responsibility of contributing to revenue for the company with the specific focus on establishing Gogo solutions onboard new production aircraft as they leave the factory either as a standard offering or as an option.

How will you make a difference?

  • Actively manage and represent Gogo BA to the assigned OEM accounts.
  • Daily Account Management responsibilities to ensure the OEM partner has everything they need to advance Gogo’s position within the OEM business framework.
  • Ownership of respective OEM forecast and will be measured based on the financial success of Gogo’s business with the OEM account and the overall advancement of the OEM/Gogo relationship.
  • Constantly find new opportunities for OEM revenue grown within the accounts for Gogo offerings.
  • Must be consistently interacting with OEM accounts to learn about opportunities and creatively come up with new value propositions to which Gogo can solve the OEMs problems and desires for the aircraft and end user.
  • Continuously coordinate with Gogo BA program management, engineering and product management to ensure product requirements desired by the OEM customers are communicated and accounted for within Gogo’s product roadmap.  The account manager must be a vigilant and a constant advocate for the external customer requirements.
  • Strive to be an expert on Gogo BA Products and Services.
  • Possess the ability to assess the competitive landscape and successfully position Gogo BA’s products ahead of similar competitive products in the market.
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts, reporting on key risks and opportunities to the OEM account business.
  • Generate and present formal presentations to OEMs and Gogo BA Management frequently. 
  • Responsible for positioning Gogo to receive RFPs from the OEM Customer and then own the responsibility to respond to the RFPs on time.
  • Work with other OEM Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers, sharing data and information, to reach collective sales goals and targets of the company as a whole.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the aviation industry in OEM Sales is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, writing and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Proven experience in developing, tracking and reporting on annual sales forecasts and sales pipeline.
  • Substantial travel in support OEM accounts, trade shows, and customer functions is required (up to 50%).
  • The ideal candidate would be based in Savannah, Georgia


Required Experience, Skills and Talents

  • Strong knowledge of Part 25 and Part 23 business aviation aircraft and avionics.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation OEM sales channels.
  • Ability to mediate and negotiate; dynamic, motivated, persuasive and goal motivated.
  • Experience in formally responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Possess experience in public speaking and be comfortable in a board room setting delivering to senior executives both internally and externally to the customer.
