Position at Gogo Business Aviation

The Gogo Business Aviation CONTRACT Production Technician is responsible for the assembly and testing of Gogo Business Aviation manufactured goods. The employee is also responsible for dis-assembly, repair and/or replacement of sub-assemblies, and/or component parts as directed. We are looking for a detailed, reliable and motivated individual who wants to join our awesome operations team!

How will you make a difference?  

  • Assist with maintaining AS9100 production test requirements and certification
  • Understand and assist with any inventory transactions, and data recording required to produce Gogo’s products
  • Assist with physical inventory requirements as required

Assembly Focus

  • Learn, understand and use the processes and procedures for producing products
  • Assist with the timely completion of manufactured assemblies while maintaining the highest quality levels of workmanship
  • Able to assemble/disassemble, repair or replace subassemblies and/or assemblies to produce an acceptable product without damage to components or assemblies

Testing Focus

  • Assist in the provisioning of products to prepare them for testing.
  • Inspection and Test (per required Manufacturing Test Procedure) to finalize an acceptable product
  • Assist in the testing of customer-returned products
  • Assist with troubleshooting of failed product to determine the failed sub-component

 Qualifications  

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an electronics assembly operation in an assembly/repair capacity and/or three (3) years’ experience in testing electronic products
  • This is a 6-months contract with the opportunity to be converted to  a full time employee pending performance
  • This is a safety-sensitive position. Position is subject to random drug testing

Experience, Skills and Talents

  • Computer literacy preferred
  • Good communication skills. Speak and understand English; ability to read and interpret written and/or verbal instructions
  • Certified to JSTD and/or IPC standards preferred
  • Familiar with ISO9000/9001 (AS9100 preferred) production test requirements
  • Experience with Agile PLM and Navision ERP systems preferred
