People Operations Specialist

The People Operations (PoPs) Team is focused on delivering an amazing employee experience in our creative centers around the world. We do this by providing client-focused service, streamlined processes, and simple tools. Playing a key tactical role throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding to off-boarding and everything in between, we are committed to operational excellence while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.  

We are looking for a passionate, engaging and data driven People Operations Specialist to join our team in our San Francisco Headquarters. The People Ops Specialist provides functional support to employees and managers at Glu and works collaboratively with the Global People & Workplace team. We are looking for an HR professional dedicated to delivering outstanding service. The Specialist uses their expertise and passion for HR to continuously identify areas of process improvement and helps the team execute flawlessly. Support functions include areas such as new hire on-boarding, orientation, benefits, offboarding, relocation, immigration, HR policies and procedures, records management and reporting. 

You'll most often be:

  • Providing excellent customer service and act as point of contact for employees who have general questions regarding HR policies, programs, and procedures. Triage jira tickets to functional HR experts as needed.  
  • Processing a variety of employment-related changes within our HRIS system, including employee status changes, pay changes, job changes, employee information and other confidential employee data.
  • Coordinating off-boarding in conjunction w/HRBP's. Be the point of contact with employee. Coordinate with payroll and benefits, as needed.
  • Processing new hire information in Workday. Coordinate with Talent Acquisition team all onboarding activities. Ensure background check is complete. Coordinate with immigration and relo teams if applicable.
  • Coordinating the New Hire Orientation program + ongoing improvements.
  • Conducting New Hire Orientation with a warm and positive presentation focusing on an excellent new employee experience.
  • Developing reports and analyses regarding diversity, attrition, and program participation.
  • Owning and assisting with various HR and talent management projects working in collaboration with the People Business Partner team and others when needed.
  • Maintaining an understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to Human Resources.
  • Preparing and maintaining employee hard and soft copy files.

And your skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR administration, operations, or generalist role. Preference for the technology or gaming industry.
  • Experience with HRIS systems. Workday preferred.
  • Strong excel and MS office skills
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and data integrity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ablility to take initiative and exercise good judgement
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources policies/programs and payroll processing
  • Proficient in U.S. & State labor laws and regulations
