We are looking for a dynamic individual who will be responsible to help identify, design, and implement a variety of initiatives necessary to meet Glu Mobile’s strategic objectives.The IT Infrastructure Manager will provide systems and network design, solution management, and operational support of Glu’s global network, including:

  • Technical Leadership and Vision
  • Leadership to design and manage overall system and network architecture
  • Ability to drive operational Process improvements
  • Manage a global virtual team


Your knowledge of servers, storage, networks, virtualization, and security will be critical to design highly available, cost effective, and scalable solutions that meet Glu’s strategic goals. Your desire to be hands-on will be instrumental to the success of the projects as well as our availability goals. Glu’s network infrastructure is aging so one of your top priorities will be to lead the design and implementation of new technologies to improve performance, reliability, and security. Additionally, you may be called upon to provide expertise/support for server operating system work (primarily Windows, but some Linux). You will directly manage a small team of systems and network engineers and coordinate a global virtual team which will be dotted lined to you.



  • Lead the design and implementation of the IT Infrastructure Roadmap
  • Recommend new solutions that improve productivity and give Glu a competitive advantage
  • Design WAN and LAN connectivity, working with system and application administration teams and studio technical teams to design proper network traffic flow, and to troubleshoot and correct existing issues
  • Design and implement server and storage technologies
  • Manage global projects
  • Improve our networks and connectivity, focusing on performance and reliability
  • Partner with security team to secure network traffic using best practices, including appropriate use of encryption/VPNs, firewalls, etc.
  • Strong experience with virtual networking with VMware technologies
  • Review cloud solutions and determine ROI for moving some or all systems to the cloud
  • Build proper logging and tracking of error logs for security and compliance
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve global system and network issues
  • Design Backup, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning Solutions
  • Analyze business requirements to develop solutions
  • Assist engineering team with installing, configuring, and maintaining networking, server and storage equipment
  • Document network processes, procedures, and practices
  • Be a part of the 24x7 emergency on-call and work nights and weekends during maintenance periods and service outages



  • BA/BS Degree in a related technology field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of strong working experience in a multi-site corporate environment
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • CCIE or MSCE Certification or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in all aspects of IP networking and security infrastructure
  • Ability to communicate decisions to a global audience effectively
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange in heterogeneous environments
  • Experience managing Windows and Linux servers
  • Thorough understanding of Virtual Host Platforms including VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Strong experience architecting and managing backup solutions
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud environment (Office 365, AWS, Azure, etc.…)
  • Experience supporting VOIP and video conferencing
  • Strong experience managing wifi technologies
  • Experience working with a distributed IT team and the ability to assist and teach less advanced team members
  • 2+ Year of Experience managing AWS VPNs
  • Strong experience with Cisco firewalls and one other vendor
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Must be capable of independent self-direction


Nice to haves:

  • Experience in a video game development environment
  • Office 365 and/or Google Apps Experience in Enterprise environments
  • Previous experience with: Perforce, SVN, Git/Github, Teamcity, Jira, Sharepoint
  • Experience working with a distributed IT team and the ability to assist and teach less advanced team members
  • Experience with database infrastructure (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and cloud based middleware)
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Unix Shell, VB) to automate routine tasks



  • As much as 10% domestic and International, so passport and capability for foreign visas will be required.
