We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and creative player experience specialist to lead the customer support effort for GluPlay San Francisco. Our ideal candidate will serve a vital role in customer service, support communication, and community management.  The ideal candidate is someone that is trustworthy, positive, patient, professional, motivated, and is an avid game enthusiast.

  • You love connecting with other players. We’re focused on the player experience and know that players need someone “on the inside” to act as their advocate!
  • You love writing. We need someone who is comfortable with all types of writing, from blog posts to business cases, from copywriting to character pieces, and from specs to strategy guides.
  • You are a Customer Support Guru. It’s not enough to be able to simply respond politely to incoming complaints, you need to be able to help guide Customer Service agents through rapidly changing environments as well as sift through the noise and help escalate the real issues to the Team.

 

Your role within our studio:

  • Provide superior customer service via email and support our player community
  • Keep an eye on the game’s health, communicating any issues with the game or its systems to the development team
  • Sync with Production, Product Management, Customer Service, and QA to be the forward-facing voice of the game, communicating player concerns and sentiment back to the team
  • Create game guides and deliver feedback on new game features and content
  • Develop and implement our social presence through all relevant social media
  • Coordinate with Glu Mobile marketing and the development team to put together campaigns and creative assets that will reach our players


Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent customer-facing skill and etiquette, with a strong empathy for our customers
  • Solid technical skills and the ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with most social media outlets
  • An avid gamer, with a lot of experience playing a variety of popular games on iOS and/or Android devices

Bonus points:

  • Experience writing original fictional content
  • Experience with JIRA, Google Docs, and HelpShift
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience moderating a community forum, website, or wiki page
  • Experience with HTML5 and CSS
