Role Overview

We are looking for someone that thrives on picking up new challenges, learning new technology and is able to apply their experience and expertise across a wide range of problems. Does the potential to work on low level core systems up to web tools and everything in between appeal to you? Are you able to pull on a diverse set of skills to come up with cross functional solutions? We are looking for an experienced game developer that likes to jump on hard problems and evolve with the needs of the studio. As part of the Infrastructure Team, you are given the opportunity to work on and support multiple games and technology that drives the entire studio forward.


  • Partner with game teams to develop solutions and features
  • Partner across disciplines on tools and systems to improve productivity and the quality of the games
  • Ensure that systems that are written to perform under the tight real-time constraints and are able to scale to production levels
  • Complete tasks under tight deadlines, adapt to changes and prioritize competing priorities
  • Identify and drive improvements in the technology base and development processes
  • Collaborate across Glu studios on shared libraries and SDKs

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in game development
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience with shipped apps or titles
  • Expertise with both C++ and C#
  • Experience profiling and optimizing for frame rate, memory usage, load-times and app size
  • Experience writing game tools and pipelines
  • Strong communication skills, especially when working with coworkers in other departments
  • Have professionally shipped multiple games working as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working on a game tools and engine team
  • Experience with web development
  • Experience with Unity and writing mobile plugins
  • Experience with a C++ game engine
  • Expertise with Android NDK and Cocoa SDKs
