Description

Glu Mobile, a leading global developer and publisher of free-to-play games for smartphone and tablet devices, is seeking an experienced Product GM to innovate and grow a key live service title.  We are looking for a leader that has a passion to build game platforms that delight players, through innovative gameplay, live events and meaningful social interactions between players. 

The right leader will be experienced in leading and engaging a team across a variety of backgrounds from design, product management, art and technology.  You have worked with marquee brands, building long term win-win partnerships.  Through your experience you will be to ensure we have the right creative vision, talent and processes to build a world-class mobile games platform.

As the Product GM you will be responsible for owning and driving the product vision, as well as managing multiple relationships, building profitable mobile hits in alignment with Glu mobile strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the product vision, ensuring that the team is balancing both the Design and PM perspectives to deliver an optimal balance of creative design and science into game development from the earliest stages of product lifecycle
  • Focus on team, product and social channel communications on clear product messaging and actions
  • Manage, develop and inspire team members while creating strong positive relationships with the entire staff, as well as peers
  • Lead live operations and new feature development via understanding of best in breed analytics, creative, product, talent and organizational structure
  • Attract, develop, inspire, and lead high performers, creating a culture that motivates and retains world class talent required for success
  • Look for new opportunities in developing areas of the mobile games market
  • Work in deep partnership publishing groups, leveraging consumer insights, market feedback, as well as platform and channel expertise drive effective go to market strategies
  • Develop and grow the business: Own the P&L, surface business and product
  • Build appropriate team capabilities and processes to ensure alignment on product outcomes, milestones and kpis
  • Manage the teams day-to-day activities to ensure they meet deadlines, objectives and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience of production experience whether as a Producer or Product Manager
  • Experience shipping multiple titles, and have led at least one title as a mobile EP
  • Strong practical knowledge of the F2P business model and mechanics;
  • Has an inquisitive mind, constantly reviewing competitive products and learning about emerging play patterns;
  • Passionate about the player, understanding what drives and motivates them;
  • Broad understanding of how to use data driven game systems to drive the meta-game, economy, game balance and pacing;
  • Solid understanding of usability, flow and UI design for touch screens;
  • Decisive but flexible; able to accept criticism, perform and adapt quickly in a creative, rapidly changing, fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Must have a passion for immersive digital experiences and the ability to articulate that passion
