Our Crowdstar studio is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Manager with strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills and proven soft skills. The candidate must have experience in empowering their team to deliver high quality information, using data to quantify resource allocation, clearly communicate risk, and have an extensive background in game development. This person must be a passionate gamer who is able to work in a creative, fast paced, established game development environment and have previous experience managing medium to large teams of Quality Assurance testers.


  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to build a first-class QA team focused on quality improvement
  • Define quality procedures, always putting the end user experience foremost
  • Align, communicate, and socialize Department vision and goals with that of Studio teams
  • Ensure test plans and procedures are properly created, understood, carried out, and evaluated
  • Manage and create resourcing plans, forecasts, schedules, reports, and expectations around product quality
  • Work closely with QA Leads and product teams to define and achieve sprint goals
  • Develop new processes and programs to meet business needs
  • Teach, mentor, and supervise QA staff

Required Skills

  • Proven examples of working with Directors and passing initiatives down to the team. 
  • Prior experience setting up and implementing an automation testing program
  • Expertise with strategic planning and growth plans for scaling QA departments in the past
  • Strong sense of team ownership and accountability
  • Strong ability to prioritize and assess risk management
  • Extensive knowledge of how to position QA as a service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Expert level skill and familiarity with testing tools and bug/test case management software
  • Expert knowledge of current mobile QA tools, processes, and principles
  • 3-4 years managing a team of 5+ in the day to day
  • 7+ years QA Management experience, preferably in gaming
  • 2-3 years of experience working with outsource partners, managing and maintaining the quality and budgetary requirements
  • Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues
  • Experience working closely with Customer Service groups
  • Proven track record that shows personal career growth as well as direct reports career growth
  • Tech stack: JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Vertica/Python/SQL, Test Rail, Crashlytics, proprietary CMS
