Who We Are:

The analytics engineering team is responsible for providing robust analytics platforms for analytics and marketing. We work closely with our game analytics and marketing team to understand the needs of our business and make data accessible for fast retrieval and decision-making.

What’s Needed:

We are looking for a recent graduate for a contract position as a Data Engineer to contribute to our analytics platform. This is NOT an internship role.
You will be designing and implementing algorithms and models supporting data-driven automation across our user acquisition, product management and marketing functions. You will be hardening the robustness of the existing data pipelines, from data ingestion to batch and/or real-time processing. You will be working closely with other teams internally to clearly understand requirements then execute against them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with analytics engineering team to design and implement sophisticated statistical algorithms to support data-driven automation (i.e. multi-armed bandit, statistical power tests, machine learning models)
  • Build high-quality anomaly detection systems to make sure our platform runs smoothly
  • Determine where and how to implement statistical approaches to decision making across studio and central functions
  • Assist with building ETL and other Hadoop application

What You’ve Done:

  • Recent Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field with strong statistics background
  • Recent graduate or one to two years of in-house related projects
  • Experience with modern statistical languages and frameworks (R,  NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or H2O)
  • Experience with SQL or SQL-like languages
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or the Hadoop ecosystem
  • Proficiency with a modern programming language (i.e. Python, Java, Scala)
  • Passion for gaming
