The HR Operations Analyst is responsible for leading the effective execution of U.S. benefits programs, including health (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), voluntary benefits, and wellness.

With a strong focus on customer service, you will interact directly with employees to answer their questions and promote our benefit offerings.  In addition, this role will coordinate leave of absences and provide system support for our Jobvite recruiting system. Functionally aligned, you will work closely with several teams, including Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Total Rewards, Payroll, Benefits Consultants and Vendors.   

Reporting to the Director of HR Operations & Total Rewards, this is a key role that straddles HR Operations and Total Rewards and is a great opportunity for someone to have an impact by delivering quality service, process efficiency, and automation. The role is based in San Francisco.



U.S. Benefits

  • Client facing role, must enjoy helping people!
  • Lead U.S. health & welfare benefit programs, including the 401k plan.
  • Lead on-going market surveys, focus groups and benchmarking analysis.
  • Handle employee escalations requiring interpretation of plan design, contracts and ERISA.
  • Create new and influence existing design improvements with vendor relationships and internal shared services team.
  • Facilitate benefits new hire orientation.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, which includes data analysis in preparation for recommending changes, creating communication materials for employees, planning the employee events, including the health fair.
  • Drive the implementation of a new benefits, ACA and COBRA administrator, which includes data analysis, testing of data, creating communication materials for employees, etc
  • Oversee projects which streamline current benefit processes and document the procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Annual review of plan documentation, mandatory filings and plan notices.


Leave of Absence Management

  • Administrator for all leaves of absences (FMLA, Parental, Short & Long Term Disability etc) in accordance with leave policies and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate all workers' compensation claims and program compliance.
  • Ensure that workers' compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers' compensation laws and that all reportable claims are submitted to the company's vendor within 48 business hours from the date of the incident.
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure accurate pay for employees on leave of absence including coordination with the Short-Term Disability (STD) program. 
  • Maintain appropriate contact with all employees on leave to coordinate their return to work.
  • Partner closely with all HR business partners to review and answer questions regarding an employee's leave status.


HR & Recruiting Operations

  • Develop strong understanding for process management in our core HR systems – Jobvite & Workday.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities to better leverage technology and help the Recruiting & HR team scale.
  • Lead system implementation and enhancement projects for Jobvite recruiting system: requirements definition, process design, and system testing.
  • Conduct periodic data audits for Jobvite and Workday system.
  • Misc HR Operations projects such as M&A and restructuring.



  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in an HR Operations or similar role.
  • 2+ years related experience in U.S. Benefits.
  • Experience managing vendors to optimal productivity and performance.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills, strong detail orientation and project management experience
  • Project leadership and process improvement background.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead multiple projects simultaneously involving various groups, locations and vendors.
  • Organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and be resourceful and creative when it comes to problem solving
  • Unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional customer service .
  • Experience with Jobvite & Workday preferred.
