At our CrowdStar studio in Burlingame, soon to move to San Francisco, we believe that there is a huge opportunity in interactive entertainment products for women. With our two top grossing titles, Covet Fashion and Design Home, CrowdStar has developed new ways for users (players) to enjoy fashion and interior design. We are passionate not only about creating fun and engaging games for women but enriching lives outside of the game. We are looking for a seasoned Art Lead for our Covet Fashion title. Covet Fashion continues to grow and is building interactive entertainment products which engage, enrich and empower women.  With product quality and user happiness being top priorities, the Covet Fashion team needs a great Art Lead to guide the team around a cohesive vision. As art lead the requirements and responsibilties are:

 

Requirements:

  •         6-10 years as an artist, specifically 3-4 years experience working as lead artist in games
  •         Ability to generate top-notch art and design in a variety of styles and a portfolio of work demonstrating the same
  •         Deep knowledge of user experience and UI design
  •         Ability to empathize with user experience through deep engagement with the product
  •         Experience with marketing campaigns and/or graphic design
  •         Strong scheduling and organizational skills and ability to multi-task across multiple projects
  •         Passion for collaboration and superior communication skills
  •         Experience managing and motivating a team of artists

 

Core responsibilities:

  •         Drive the existing visual direction for the title, ensure all visual elements both inside and outside the game meet the brand style guide
  •         Set and oversee the visual direction for creative campaigns across all channels.  Including visual storyboards, new features, and other brand extension efforts
  •         Set and maintain brand style guidelines
  •         Lead visual direction for all new features from ui to animation
  •         Create and oversee creative schedule for art team
  •         Generate ideas and art direction for game's UA campaigns
  •         Oversee all App Store creative needs for the game - including app icon, screenshots and promotional materials
  •         Collaborate with game leads to identify and concept visual needs and improvements for UI
  •         Work with UI artist and dev team to ensure proper implementation of visual and UI-related features
  •         Support presentation needs for partner outreach and internal communications
  •         Research new tech and tools to continue to keep our game visuals current and fresh
  •         Review user research and feedback to help inform game presentation improvements
  •         Provide consistent direction, support and career growth to a small team of artists
