Glu is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and execute programs focused on creating an amazing new hire experience. The successful candidate will drive the development of our on-boarding program to accelerate learning and assimilate new hires into the organization. In addition, this role will lead U.S. mobility programs – relocation and immigration as well as various Talent Acquisition programs – employee referral and the college internship program. Functionally aligned, you will work closely with several teams, including Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Total Rewards, Payroll, Legal and Information Technology (IT). 


The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional influence, organizational expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage complex cross-functional projects. Reporting to the Director of HR Operations and Total Rewards, this is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about learning & development, process improvement, change management and leading cross-functional teams. This position is based in San Francisco.




HR Operations

  • Lead a cross-functional team to architect and develop an on-boarding program that improves the end to end new hire experience.
  • Build defined project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop all processes and procedures for rollout and ongoing support.
  • Partner with L&D to invent tools, resources and training to accelerate new hires learning into the organization and culture.
  • Lead improvement initiatives to streamline on-boarding processes and automate manual tasks.
  • Define and track key performance indicators – develop metrics and service level agreements for programs and projects, track delivery against objectives.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities to better leverage technology to streamline new hire & mobility activities, communications and tracking.
  • Prepare status reports and metrics for HR programs.
  • Support execution of additional HR programs and processes as appropriate.



  • Develop and implement U.S. Mobility guidelines and service delivery model.
  • Own the vendor relationship with Plus Relocation and implementation of service delivery model; ensuring deadlines are met, managing exceptions, policy changes, escalations.
  • Liaise with employees, managers, Business Partners and immigration/relocation vendors on U.S. immigration and relocation matters.
  • Act as an advisor to our employees, management and HR.



  • Responsible for facilitating work authorizations to for temporary moves and Ex-Pat assignments.
  • Advises management and HR on all aspects of inbound and outbound immigration regulations and options in order to ensure compliance and maximize benefit to employees and candidates.
  • Work closely with outside immigration counsel on all work authorization and immigration cases to ensure timely processing and issue resolution.
  • Responsible for interfacing with N.A. America payroll and taxation teams as it relates to financial/tax impacts for foreign workers/international assignments.
  • Prepares reports on the immigration program, including financials and trends as needed.



  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in an HR Operations or similar role.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a program manager in human resources.
  • Immigration knowledge and experience covering temporary visas, permanent residency processes, form I9 compliance and E-Verify.
  • Experience managing vendors to optimal productivity and performance.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with executive level leaders.
  • Change management knowledge and skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills, strong detail orientation and project management skills.
  • Process oriented with ability to proactively identify process improvement opportunities with automation.
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and be resourceful and creative when it comes to problem solving.
  • Unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Jobvite, Workday or other HRIS systems.
