Job Summary Statement:

Analyze, process, and accurately update payments in all applicable applications in a timely manner. Collect monthly agent reporting in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with agents, customers, and other employees by phone and email. Maintain digital file system. Be a team player ready to work and who can independently handle a workload. Help with other projects when needed.

Key responsibilities:

-Accounts Receivable
-Daily & Monthly Balancing
-Collect Monthly Agency Account currents
-Collect Monthly Account current payments
-Accurately Apply Cash to correct accounts
-Monthly Reconciliations
-Maintain Daily, Monthly and Quarterly Controls
-Maintain and Provide Reporting of Agent Balances
-Process disbursements
-Answer incoming emails and phone calls from Agent’s, Insured’s and other employees
-Maintain digital filing system in ImageRight to ensure records are retained properly
-Maintain working knowledge of administration system processes
-Month end system close
-Performs other duties as assigned based on division needs
-Conforms with and abides by all company and external regulations, policies, and work procedures

Required skills/experience:

-2+ years of accounting/reconciliation experience
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization internal and external including verbal and written communication
-Advanced skills in MS Office (Word & Excel)
-Ability to plan, organize, manage and execute tasks or projects in an efficient and dependable manner according to business needs and objectives
-Superior analytical and problem solving ability

Desired skills/experience:

-Related experience in the insurance industry or experiences with other regulated financial institutions
-Ambition to learn and grow within the accounting department and enjoy challenges that arise while working in a dynamic environment
-Initiative to identify and drive improvement opportunities
